Golf Course

The Greenkeepers are busy on the course trying to cut where possible the rough and fairways.  The greens have been sprayed and we intend to reseed some of the damaged areas on the greens caused by the fusarium.  As we still only have two greenkeepers at the moment, it would be extremely helpful if all members could please rake the bunkers and repair pitch marks and divots. 

Volunteers

Very shortly those members who have come forward and shown an interest in helping us will be contacted with a view to coming to a meeting to discuss this further.  Any other members wishing to volunteer some time to help please let us know as soon as possible.

Following discussion with Members we have now had a Members Only Area added to our website.

The password is:          bunkers

This area has been created to give more detailed information relevant to members and will show competition results and the Honours Boards.  Details of whether the course is closed or some holes are not in use will also be found in this area but may not be up to date very early in the morning. If you have a very early tee off, it is sensible to give us a ring first.

Food and Beverages

We would like to remind members that we do ask that you do not bring your own food and beverages for consumption on the premises.

Payments by Card

Due to the high costs that we are charged to accept business and credit cards, we would be grateful if you could please pay by debit card if possible.  We will still accept credit cards but please try not to use company/commercial credit cards which we are charged 2.7%

Competitions

Following a recent General Management Committee Meeting it has been decided that on those days that the weather prevents us from using the winter mats the rolling three-day competitions will be played on the Saturday only.  This is so that we can preserve the condition of the tees.  Competitions coming up:-

·     29th 30th & 31st January – Club Stableford (18 hole)

·     5th 6th & 7th February - Club Stableford (18 hole)

·     12th 13th & 14th February - Club Stableford (18 hole)

·     17th February - Stableford (9 hole)

·     19th February – Team event (Bowmaker)

·     26th 27th & 28th - Club Stableford (18 hole)
