Greenkeeping

The white tees have been removed so all competitions will be played off the yellow or red tees.  We will try to keep as many tees as possible on the grass for as long as possible.  Where mats are in use please use them in order to try to protect the course as much as possible.

Will the person who is moving the tee blocks off the mats and putting them on the grass tees please stop!

We will put some rope and posts out to protect part of the fairways.  There will also be a blue spotted line at the start of every approach to each green to stop golfers walking up to the middle of the approach to the green.  It would be most appreciated if you would not cross the blue line.

We are in the process of cutting back hedges and removing dead trees which will be ongoing.

We are operating a 10th Tee start which will probably remain in place for the winter months.

Shop

Course conditions are updated daily and viewable on the booking system and the Chronogolf app.  If you are struggling to use the booking system or App please let us know.

Don’t forget to put your name down for the Winter Eclectic – the Ladies and Ambassadors to have their own separate eclectics.

If you are trying to find Christmas presents don’t forget that we can get any golfing equipment or accessories or alternatively we still do Gift Vouchers.

We are sorry to inform you that Joe is leaving us for pastures new which is not unexpected, but we are sad to see him go.  However, in a couple of weeks his replacement Luke will be starting.

Ladies

For the first time this year the ladies have taken part in the Hayling Trophy.

We have played a round robin of 3 matches at home and 3 away to Hayling Island, Corhampton and Hartney Whitney.

We have won 2 matches and lost 4, though they have all been very close with several going to 19 holes and 1 to 20.

The clubs we played against have all got ladies sections of over 50 so I am extremely pleased with our results considering we only have around 12 ladies to choose our teams from.

DON’T FORGET YOU STILL HAVE TIME TO BOOK UP FOR THE CLUB CHRISTMAS LUNCH AT CHILWORTH MANOR HOTEL – CLOSING DATE 30th NOVEMBER 2022
